Highlights:

• We used our 4 square planner to write the story about Spookly the Square Pumpkin
• We made monster chalk drawings for art
• We practiced increasing patterns
• We did literacy centres

Reminders:

• Tomorrow we will celebrate Halloween so you can wear a costume or ornage and black if you like.

                                                           

 

Wednesday, Oct.29

Highlights:

• It was so good to see everyone back at school again!
• Today we talked about things we do to make us calm
• We went to the library
• We learned what directions are north, south, west, east and played a game to practice

 

Friday, October 3

Highlights:

• Today we did a scavenger hunt outside to look for signs of fall. 
• We wrote about Winter Counts
• We painted watercolour leaves in fall colours.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 1

Reminders:

• We read the story, Alan's Big, Scary Teeth and answered questions about it.  Ask what Alan's secret was!
• We talked about the 4 elements of the earth: land, air, water and plants, animals and humans
• We practiced adding 10 to different numbers. When we use the 100 chart, the answer is always below the number we are adding to. For example, 46 +10 = 56
