Highlights:

• We learned about verbs today. Ask me to tell you an example of a verb.
• We played a new math game and tried to make a larger number than our partner using tens and ones.
• We used a map of Canada to draw the different regions

Tuesday, November 18

Highlights:

• We used a 4 square planner to write interesting sentences about squirrels
• In math, we started learning about place value and used the blocks to show 1 ten and 2 ones=12
• We continued to use the base ten blocks to make other 2-digit numbers
• In social studies, our table group researched different landforms around Alberta

Monday, Nov.17

Highlights:

• Below are pictures of us doing literacy centres
• We watched the Frost Moon for November and started learning about squirrels. Did you know they are very organized but forgetful!
• In math, we practiced using the number line and played a math game to practice making 10
• In science, we are researching different landforms in Alberta
• In music, we did some line art that went with the music
• We practiced our 2nd fire drill

Highlights:

• We wrote about the different animals that were used in the war. Ask me what the pigeons, cats, dogs, bears, eland horses were used for!
• We also learned about the 5 different landforms.
