Highlights:
  • Today we did a graphing activity after we counted the candies that we cut and pasted onto our gingerbread house.
  • We flew to Switzerland to learn about their winter tradition. Did you know that they burn a snowman built of wood to see how long it takes. If it burns quickly, winter will be over quickly.
  • Our lunchroom supervisor, Ms. Kris made cards with us today

Highlights:
  • We made a robot using using the base ten blocks. Ask me what number I made.
  • We continued to practice skipping in gym
  • We learned about the Great Lakes/St.Lawrence region

  • Tomorrow is going to be very cold so please dress in warm clothes

Highlights:
  • We met with our Grade 5 buddies to teach them the different regions in Canada
  • We did an art project with cool and warm colours. Ask me what the colours are for each
  • We wrote letters for anyone we wanted and delivered them to our friends in an envelope. Some kids even wrote a letter to Santa!
Reminders:
  • Please label your child's winter gear since we have several black mitts and black snow pants in the classroom.
  • If your child would like to mail a letter to Santa, Canada Post will let you mail it for free using this address:

Highlights: 
  • In gym, we've been practicing skipping. 
  • We learned that an adverb describes a verb. For example, I ran fast!
  • In math, we learned about expanded form. 423=400+20=3
  • In social studies, we learned about the physical region called the Canadian Shield. Ask me what it looks like. 
  • Today our kindness challenge was to keep our coat hook clean.

  • Please label your child's winter clothing since we have many pairs of black mitts and black snow pants in the classroom.

Highlights:
  • Today the kindness elf showed up in our classroom! We voted and decided to call the kindness elf Cookie Twinkle Toes
  • In Social Studies, we learned about the Cordillera Region. Ask me what landforms it has
  • In math, we had different cards at our desk that showed numbers represented in place value blocks. We had to write the number in words.
  • In music, we listened to the Nutcracker story
