Highlights:

• Today we did a community walk to the Harvest Hills Park. It was so much fun!
• On the way, we were looking for different materials that we noticed on buildings or in the park since we are learning about that in science

 

Tuesday, May 26

Highlights:

• This week we had surprise guests arrive and it's 10 chick eggs! We will watch them grow in the incubator over the next 3 weeks.
• In gym, we started gymnastics. Today we practiced different rolls and cartwheels!
• In writing, we continued to write poems. Ask me about the poem I wrote today using the 5 senses
• In math, we are learning about 2D and 3D shapes

 

Thursday, May14

Highlights:

• We played 9 square in gym this week. It’s so much fun & a great intro to volleyball! Ask me how to play.
• We finished learning about fractions & did a short quiz.
• We wrote another poem today, called I’m So Smart. They were very funny! 
• We continued working in our frog research groups. Ask me an interesting fact about frogs.

Highlights:

• In science, we learned about shadows and we traced our shadows using side walk chalk
• In math, we continued to learn about fractions
• We read a book called the Important Book & wrote our own ideas using good adjectives
