Highlights:

• We played some new math games to practice adding and subtracting double digits
• We've been working on an art project for Mother's Day so stay tuned for the reveal!
• We continued to research information about frogs
• In gym, we've been practicing badminton skills

Highlights:

• Our Grade 5 buddies shared their plans for ways to solve the mud problem outside the doors at the back of the school.
• The Grade 2 students shared their stories that we wrote during the week.
• We wrote a math test today to show what we know for subtracting double digits
• We continued to research frogs in our assigned groups. 

 

Thursday, April 30

Highlights:

• We did a land offering with our Grade 5 buddies. Everyone had a chance to go around the circle and say what they are thankful for.
• In writing, we practiced writing a story using a picture prompt of a lost puppy. Ask me what the 3 problems were in my story.
• We practiced using 5 different strategies for double digit subtraction. (number line, hundred chart, base ten blocks and stacking, and decomposing)
