Tuesday, June 23

Highlights:
  • The highlight today was walking and playing at the Vivo park. It was such a beautiful day and we had the chance to play with all our friends in Grade 2!

Friday, June 19

Highlights:
  • To celebrate National Indigenous Day, we made bannock with our Grade 5 buddies.
  • The recipe included flour, baking powder, salt, milk, oil and warm water
  • Everyone had a turn to add an ingredient or stir the ingredients and of course we all had a chance to eat the finished product. Ask me if I liked the taste of bannock.

Wednesday, June 17

Highlights:
  • Of course the chicks were the highlight of the day! They are getting so much bigger and  they are jumping around more. We also noticed that they are growing feathers on their wings!

Tuesday, June 16

Highlights:
  • We finished our zoo enclosures and brought them home today. Ask me to explain all the things I made for my animal.
  • Today we learned specifically about roosters and wrote some interesting facts about them. Did you know they can be aggressive towards other animals?
  • We worked on our All About Me Google Slide presentation. If your child knows their username and password, they could log in at home to share with you!
  • We each had an opportunity to hold the chicks again today and help take care of our little injured chick. Right now, we have him sitting in a cup with a splint to help strengthen his leg and to make sure the other chicks don't hurt him.
